Imagine a native family that lived by the fertile land by the river catchment clinging to what little remains of their homes, children navigating treacherous paths to cross from landslided mountains to schools, and communities banding together amidst the rubble to rebuild shattered dreams.
Landslides, often triggered by heavy rains or deforestation, not only claim lives but also disrupt livelihoods and tear apart the social fabric of my home communities in Kasese and entire Rwenzori mountain region . The aftermath is a haunting reminder of the urgent need for resilience and support.
As we reflect on our responsibilities as global citizens, let’s extend our hands to those in need. Together, through awareness, action, and compassion, we can offer hope to the landslide-affected areas in kasese,uganda and Africa as a whole
