Huge volumes of water submerged a couple of households
The Nyamwamba River in the Rwenzori Mountains of western Uganda continues to see an increasing number of devastating floods, which are partially caused by global warming. Flooding in the Kasese district afflicted 173,000 people in 2020 alone, resulting in the destruction of 25,000 homes.
